Good argument. Although Zane only played briefly under Noble this season having been injured in the opening game. The shackles on both Zane and Gio were released when David left and it seemed, most notably against Torquay, Maidstone etc that it worked. We got the best out of them in patches. John did seem to lose his way tactically and he paid for it with his job. David was far from flawless in his own tactical applications too. Only time will tell if they’ve both learnt from their mistakes.

On zane and Rasulo both were brilliant under noble but disappeared under Meakes as Meakes made Rasulo play so deep and isolated Zane and forces him wider - Also on social media it was players parents who were the happiest about Nobles return - For me Meakes was tactically inept as he always tried to start all our attackers leaving one in midfield where we were overran! delighted Nobbys back

Not related to this podcast but.... I find the lack of information coming out of the club so frustrating, especially compared to other clubs in the league. David Noble is rehired(!) and there is no information. The season review, Part 2, makes no mention. Ryan Blackman leaves for Chelmsford....no mention of his destination. Who have we signed/retained? Who knows?

Hi, just to touch on the Noble to Wealdstone move, Prior to his hiring at Wealdstone they had a manager called Stuart Maynard who was subsequently hired by Notts County who fit into Notts County's philosophy of possession based football that Luke Williams left behind at Notts County, to me it made sense at the time for Wealdstone to Hire Noble for the same reason that they hoped he would continue Maynard's work.

I know you guys do this out of passion but I just thought it was worth saying how much I enjoy these chats. The fact that you guys share a portion of your day to discuss your thoughts on the club is a sacrifice that I appreciate. Never would have imagined I would spend more time in my life following an English club in the 6th division MORE than I spend paying attention to my local Seattle Sounders MLS club. Had I never found the silly Football Manager club.. I wouldn't be getting excited to see another episode appear in my Recommended list. Up the Saints. It's been great listening in on Mix92.6... Keeping up on videos on the Saints UA-cam. If somehow I ever find myself visiting England.. A trip to Clarence Park is a must do.

Only watching this after the Chelmsford win so im feeling much happier, agree totally with hoddle needing to be a regular, I personally don’t think we should even think about sacking Noble yet, this year the league is very competitive and I think we haven’t been anywhere near our best. But on the positive side I genuinely see us going on a run and having a push for playoffs towards the end of the season ( only 5 points off the playoffs at this stage)

Appreciated the story about the tree. I love iconic pieces of history or things with a rich story behind them. I checked around google to see stories about the tree, learned about it's history and the fury behind it's removal. Found a black and white aerial photo before it was modernized. 3:43 Watching the past few Post Match interviews really shows based on Noble's body language. The first 30 seconds of the weston-super-mare interview, Noble's messing with his face, itching, fixing his collar. Now, sure it's unfair to assume when he could have been itchy... But watching his body language really really spoke loudly to me rather than the words he was saying.

I think I remember that postponement at Bromley in 77, was it? Pulling up in the coach at the ground, the heavens opened and the roof was battered by a brute of a downpour. I think there was an xmas home fixture that I'd gone along to, only to also find off. Would've been 70s or early 80s, a big clash at the time, maybe against Wembley but the pitch was frozen and looked colder than Bejams.

first time watch really enjoyed it and will be avid follower. went to the braintree game and agree with all Lees thoughts i dont like singling out individual players but this lack of fight you talked about , for me , comes from the captain and i dont see it in Bowery. I accept ryan is off at the minute but he does have the desire to kick some ass if the chips are down. Bowery dont even come to thank fans at the end of games?? any way,, great show
